"Don't be afraid of being....different"

I went to a poetry assembly and it was really inspiring, hence, my blog title. There was a group of young poets, a bit older than my age, who were there to share their poetry. They memorized classic pieces of poetry into their soul and mesmerized the audience with their interpretion of the pieces. They also recited original pieces, which were so good. I can't even explain how good the language was. They rapped and recited about issues such as drugs and the dehumanization of our society. It really opened my eyes.

Now ask yourselves. Why would we need to ask anybody "how are you doing?" or "how's life?" when they've already told the cyber world via facebook/aim/tumblr/blogger/myspace?
....................I don't know.

How 'bout some genuine communication for a change?
